Crew Wanted - rules of the vessel

The main goal is to get out there and have a great time.  Enjoying some incredible corners of the planet.

We are looking for people who are willing to get involved and make their time enjoyable for all.  We do not necessarily need experienced sailors but experienced travellers who know how to get along and make things happen.  People who are experienced in photography, journalism, scuba diving, and social media would be key.  People who are motivated, energized, keen and look forward to each day a necessity.

We do not expect people to be able to go for the whole journey, however that might end up happening.  We understand everyone is busy and have commitments.  So time management will be important for everyone.  Short periods of time less than a few months most likely will not work as travel will be expensive and at times difficult at best.

Travel costs are the crews responsibility.  Day to day expenses will be shared by all.  Depending on what is going on in what part of the world the cost of these expenses will be different at different times.  I fully understand about money and the concerns of it.  Owing a vessel that is ocean seaworthy costs allot of money to buy and most of all keep it in shape.  I took the route of buying a good solid hull and totally rebuilding the design to suit my ideas and budget.  I did not really save anything over new as I spent about the same amount but I did end up with the hull design I like with the gear I like.  So when we start talking what crew should be paying per day think of this.  Even at 20 dollars a day where can anyone get their food, lodging, transportation, entertainment and a very high end lifestyle for that kind of money.  Believe me a vessel on a passage will cost at least 6 times that a day and that is with no big repairs to deal with.  Lastly lets all remember the costs of transportation by air would cost tens of thousands of dollars and you would still only see part of the route.

Work will be shared by all.  Keeping the vessel in top condition will be a priority.  Understandably things will break and wear out but these things can be fixed and wear and tear can be painted, epoxied or cleaned up.  Everyone on board will bear the burdens of keeping the vessel clean, repaired, and well provisioned.  Keeping "your space" neat and tidy is mandatory.

The vessel will be operated in an open manner with everyone having a say.  But if the Captain is forced to make a decision, his decision will be the last say in that matter and it will be respected.  Someone on a ship needs to have the last word to keep the ship operating in a cohesive manner.  Respect of all crew members is mandatory but the Captain has the last word.

There is no drinking on the vessel at any time when it is on a passage.

There is no smoking on the vessel at any time.

All laws of every country will be abided by.
